Education for the Medical Community
Click here to learn about the Midwest AIDS Education Training and Education Center (MATEC), a prestigious program administered by the Kansas City CARE Clinic to provide AIDS and HIV clinical training and support to health care professionals.
Education for Individuals
We also offer preventive health education services to individuals, groups, and at community-level interventions in the following areas:
- HIV/STD education
- Chronic care diabetes education
- Coping & risk reduction education via the SISTA (Sisters Informing Sisters about Topics on AIDS) program. SISTA is a program for African-American women developed by African-American women. For more information, click here.
The Kansas City CARE Clinic also offers the opportunity to have a Clinic representative come to your organization/community to give an educational presentation or conduct a testing clinic.
